A New program has been announced by Bridges Social Development. UNVEILING YOUTH POTENTIAL is a global youth empowerment program aimed at realizing the potential of youth by supporting their leadership roles in building healthy, vibrant communities through supported entrepreneurship. Bridges is a volunteer based organization based in Calgary that provides capacity building for female and male leaders in healthcare, law, journalism, education and politics in places like Yemen, Egypt, India, Oman and Nepal. Youth in some of these communities have invited this program. We see youth as change leaders with amazing potential. We are committed to supporting youth in becoming change leaders in their communities by sharing training in leadership, social entrepreneurship and providing youth with mentors to help young people, even in isolated communities, move forward to implement entrepreneurial projects. A website has just been launched. It is full of information about the project, youth entrepreneurship, and mentoring opportunities. There are many free and open access tools that you may use to help you with your own projects. Feedback is welcome about the website, tools, and training materials. If you are interested, there are many ways to get involved in helping to build and deliver this program. Your engagement can include partnering with us, as an organization, as an individual mentor or as a volunteer. If you would like to share wisdom and stories with us, we would love to hear from you. We need learning coaches. We need mentors for youth. We need financial champions of this program.
